Buddoop: no more lonely Sundays

It was Sunday, probably mid-November 2017, I don’t recall the exact date. I was tired of studying the whole week and really felt like going out. I just wanted to hang out, maybe play some pickup basketball.

So I pick up my phone and text my friends. Responses range from “I’m busy”, through “Sorry, with the fam” to the classic — but sincere — “I’m not feeling it”. Sounds familiar huh? Well, I had two alternatives: either go somewhere by myself or stay home watching whatever Hollywood had to offer. I chose the latter.

Later that night, I was getting ready to go to sleep, thinking it had been a waste of a Sunday… only if there was an app where I could find other people to hang out with doing whatever. Boom! That was an awesome idea. I could easily find buddies to play ball with or even to discuss the great movie I had seen that day (Tom Cruise still got it).

This is how Buddoop was born. Since then, our mission has been to connect people through events they mutually like.

It’s as simple as writing a description of the event, setting a location and date and hit the post button.

Now other users in your neighbourhood can see and join your event. Fun right?
